Variety Boys and Girls Club is happy to offer after-school care to all students K-5th at PS398Q. Every student has the right to be a part of a community that is invested in seeing them grow, emotionally, socially, and discover a passion they never knew.

Afterschool:

PS 398 has afterschool every school day with a variety of educational and enrichment activities!

Dates: VBGCQ runs Monday-Friday( Follows the DOE Calendar) starting 10/5/26-6/18/27

Hours: 2:30 pm-6 pm

  • Programming:

  • Homework Help- Students have the first 55 minutes of the program to complete homework. Being that we are not a tutoring program, we do not guarantee 100% completion. We encourage and help students to complete as much as they can 

  •  STEM- Learn and create fun projects that stimulate the mind, like making 3D boats, creating the solar system

  •  Dance- Move to your own groove. Students will learn and even create their own dances with music ranging from popular musicals to the latest hits today 

  • Fitness- From soccer to basketball, students get the opportunity to exercise, release stress, and end the year off with a field day

  •  Film-Watch and understand all that goes into movies, and how they came to be

  • DIY- Create projects from various items, whether it's cardboard, beads, or even cotton balls; your mind is your drawing board

  • Art- Unleash your inner Picasso and have all your imagination come to life
